1-  	Notices should be of particular relevance to the school, and should
	be sent only by members of the school.

2-  	Attachments are strongly discouraged.  If possible, distribute non-text 
	files by providing a URL.

3-	To avoid duplication, this address should not be used for seminar
	notices.  (Such messages should go to mathdep)

4-	The existing list for the mathematics department (staff@maths.ucd.ie)
	remains, and there now also exist the lists 
		sas@maths.ucd.ie
		mathphy@maths.ucd.ie 
	which distribute only to members of those departments.  
	school is shorthand for (staff,sas,mathphy).
	There also exist the lists
		maths_postdocs@maths.ucd.ie
		mathphy_postdocs@maths.ucd.ie
