Abstract: Lipschitz-free spaces $\mathcal{F}(M)$ are Banach spaces which are canonically associated with metric spaces, and they provide a proper way to transfer results on metric spaces to the realm of separable Banach spaces. We will display some recent progress along thee lines, in relation with Grothendieck's Approximation Property, and show for instance that every separable Banach space is isomorphic to a complemented subspace of a separable space which 'nearly' have the Bounded Approximation Property.
